I suggest that this is the best book to read. The way all of the pieces fit into the answer is amazing. The end of each chapter makes you want to read more and more. My family is going to read it too. I`m 10 years old and I love to read. This is by far the best book I ever read. It is for all ages.
If you haven't read it, it is a definite must. It is one of the few books that makes me laugh out loud and not be able to put the book down. I read this book for the first when I was in middle school, and have re-read it some 3 times since then. My husband and I read it together recently, and we enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time so long ago. It is a great book to read as a family, a couple, or by yourself.
What I'm trying to say is just that The Westing Game is a wonderful book that everyone should read. For people who like mystery books, read this book. I absolutely loved this book. In the beggining it's a little bit confusing, but it captures your attention, anyways. Even for people who don't like mysteries, you're bound to after this.
This book is very good. I have read it a total of 77 times (and still counting) Have your kids put down that Harry Potter series and pick this one up.
For example, one of the characters thinks she's the most wonderful thing in the world. One thing I like about the book is that all the characters have different personalities. My personal rating is 5 out of 5 stars for this book.
Another character is very smart and has a job as a judge. I don't usually give a book 5 stars, but I like that with this book you don't know what to expect. The book starts with six letters getting mailed out for families to move into Sunset Towers. You will never guess who the murderer is. He names these tenants as his heirs and leaves them the job of solving the mystery of who killed him. I wanted to read this book because it won the Newberry Medal and so it has to be good.
After they move in a rich man named Samuel Westing dies. The heirs are paired up into 8 teams of 2 and are all given clues. What also makes this book interesting is that when the heirs are trying to figure out who the murderer is there are bombs going off all over the place. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes an easy read and mysteries. The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is a fictional mystery. In his will he says that he was murdered by one of 16 tenants.
Bombs go off in the coffee shop, chinese restaurant, a wedding hall, and in an elevator.
